Fact #18 learned at Wimba Connect 2008

The University of Georgia's Cooperative Extension personnel:

  • Traveled 46,595 fewer miles
  • Consumed 2,328 fewer gallons of gas
  • Released 46,560 fewer pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere
  • Saved 1,004 hours of personal time by using Wimba instead of driving to face–to–face meetings and training seminars
  • Saved the University at least $21,562
...with Wimba!

As a representative from an institution new to the Wimba Collaboration Suite, I found the opportunity to attend Wimba Connect 2008 invaluable. In one event, I was able to plan our implementation through participation in pre–conference workshops, gain an insight into effective practices from sessions presented by other institutions and learn about the future development of the Wimba Collaboration Suite – all this as well as networking with many others within the Wimba community.
–Alice Bird, Liverpool John Moores University
